- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 tsp. mustard
- salt & white pepper, to taste
- 1 c. half and half
- 4 ounces sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded or cubed
In a sauce pan, melt butter over medium-low heat. Add flour to melted butter to form into a paste. Slowly add in half and half, stirring constantly. Over heat, continue stirring occasionally until mixture thickens. Add cheese and stir until cheese is melted.
Serve over veggies or as a fondue sauce with bread.
