3 strips bacon
1 breakfast sausage patty
2 large eggs
1 c. heavy cream
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 slices brioche bread
Great Midwest® Apple Cinnamon Cheddar cheese, sliced
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Cook bacon, sausage and one egg over hard. Set aside.
Combine heavy cream, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract and remaining egg. Mix well. Set aside.
Top slice of brioche with half the cheese, cooked egg, sausage, bacon, remaining cheese and the other slice of brioche. Secure with four toothpicks. Place sandwich in liquid mixture, fully coating both sides of the sandwich and soaking into the bread.
While the sandwich is soaking, melt butter in oven-safe sauté pan at medium heat. Place sandwich in pan and cook on both sides until golden brown. Place sauté pan in preheated oven for 3-5 minutes until fully cooked. Remove from over, plate and dust with powdered sugar. Serve with maple syrup for dipping.
